We are an Australian company with over 37 years of experience.
In the 1970’s Solarfan was the first company to introduce fan-forced sub-floor ventilation systems in the brick and terracotta vent size. UniSearch was commissioned at the time to test the product before its release to the public. The research and development of this compact fan-forced vent into a sub-floor ventilation solution also offered the lowest decibel rating, resulting in Solarfan to be the quietest system in the marketplace – and, proudly, still is. The brick size fan-forced vent proves to be the most versatile and effective sub-floor ventilation system, especially where sub-floor areas have a reduced clearance to the internal floor or elevated external ground levels which impinge on natural sub-floor cross-ventilation. Last but not least, the Solarfan sub-floor ventilation system is economical to run, using at most 12v if required to be connected to your mains.
In 2001 Envirofan took over from Solarfan’s legacy and introduced the quad-fan system (EF10-4) — ‘EF’ meaning Envirofan.
Envirofan’s cutting edge design principle is to maximise sub-floor ventilation without obstructions. In seventy per cent of cases our objective is to minimise the use of flexible ducting and in-line fan systems where the path of air is disrupted. We view the sub-floor area as one big duct and recommend low-voltage or solar-powered fan-forced systems to provide ventilation with the least amount of alteration to your home. By strategically retrofitting EF Fans in place of existing passive vents, the air will be drawn to these points and extracted from the problem area. In turn, this will introduce fresh air into the sub-floor area from the opposite side, thus creating cross-flow ventilation ideal for an effective sub-floor ventilation solution.
Does Envirofan use humidity sensors in their products or in sub-floor area? (Please click here to find out)
The carbon footprints of our products are virtually non-existent, unlike traditional 240v systems. Envirofan is tried and tested with over three decades of unparalleled success in sub-floor ventilation, facilitated by our knowledge and experience. We are proudly Australian owned and made – so, remember, if it’s not Envirofan, it isn’t one!
